How it works

Search & Preview

Enter an Aderant matter number. The portal fetches the matter, maps its fields and parties, and shows you a full dry-run preview — no data is written yet.

Review & Confirm

Inspect mapped matter attributes, work type, and all parties before committing. Idempotency checks prevent duplicate imports.

Import into Clio Operate

One click creates the Clio Operate work item, provisions ODS party entities, stamps you as contributor, and records the import in the audit log.

What gets imported

Every import creates or updates these Clio Operate objects.

Work Item

Matter title, reference, status, open/close dates, and work type.

ODS Parties

All Aderant parties created as ODS entities with external reference tags.

Link Attributes

Aderant matter ID, matter code, client ID, and client code stored as custom attributes.

Contributor Stamp

The importing user is added as a participant so the matter is visible in Clio Operate immediately.

Secure by design

Authentication via Alterspective Identity (OIDC) — no shared passwords.
Per-organisation credential isolation using runtime header injection.
Import writes gated by an explicit per-org enable flag.
Full import audit log with user, timestamp, and outcome.
Idempotency check prevents duplicate Clio Operate work items.
