Request access
Access to the Import Portal is managed per organisation. Contact your Alterspective account manager or your firm's Clio Operate administrator to request access. Once provisioned, you'll receive an invite via your your Alterspective account or sign in directly using Microsoft.
Navigate to your PMS Sync login page and click Sign in with Alterspective or Microsoft. You'll be redirected to your organisation's identity provider. No separate credentials are required.
Configure your organisation (admins only)
Administrators configure the PMS proxy and Clio Operate connections in Connection Settings. You can define multiple environments (e.g. Production, UAT) per organisation.
- PMS Proxy URLThe URL of the proxy that reads from your PMS database.
- PMS Proxy API KeyThe API key issued for the proxy instance.
- Clio Operate CredentialsOAuth2 client ID and secret for the target instance.
- SIEM WebhookOptional URL for audit event export to Splunk or Sentinel.
Once connections are saved, use the Test connection button to verify both the PMS proxy and Clio Operate are reachable. Then visit Field Mapping to control how PMS data maps into Clio Operate.
Preview & Import
On the Import page, select your target Environment, enter a PMS matter number, and click Preview. The preview shows exactly what will be created in Clio Operate — the work item, parties, key dates, and case team — before anything is written.
If the preview looks correct, click Import into Clio Operate to create the work item and linked party records. You can review past imports on the History page.
